Losing weight can be hard and tiring for a lot of us. But don't be dismayed, because losing weight can be made easy. It's all in the mind. I struggled with losing weight too. Two years ago, I adopted a diet without that had no carbs. Only protein and fiber. I ate breakfast, lunch and dinner all the same. I didn't have any sugar or ate oily food. In fact I steamed all my food first before I greased it with a tiny bit of oil. I lost 10 kgs in four months.
Losing weight can be done this way too. But there were some draw backs to this plan. I was hungry all the time, I ate a lot of carbs once a week, I had stomach problems, acidity increased, I didn't get a good sleep, I was tired all the time and as soon as I went on vacation and relaxed, I gained the same weight I was before. Hence, I got fed up of continuing this diet and lifestyle and now eat normally.
The key to losing weight long-term is BALANCE. If you want to train hard and have the perfect body. But if you want to lose some inches for a special event or you are just fed up with the tight jeans, then read full post to learn more.
People who have desk jobs or work in shifts are prone to weight gain. As not getting enough rest can also trigger weight gain. Getting a good nights' sleep, reducing stress and a changing from an inactive to active lifestyle will definitely reduce the unnecessary weight.
1) Leave Stomach empty by Two last bites:
Taking baby steps will encourage your body to burn fat more in the long run. Do not eat to your hearts' content. Start by leaving out the last two bites of your lunch and dinner. This way you will train your brain to eat less. Our stomach size changes as per out input of food.
2) Drink more water:
Drink more water between meals. I know they say drink water if you feel hungry and maybe you won't feel that hungry after. But it's not true for me. So I decided to drink more water between meals so that I don't binge eat in between. For eg., I have my lunch at 12 pm and after an hour I drink two classes of water, and then at 4 pm I have a cup of tea (with 1tsp sugar), and again drink water till my dinner at 7 pm.
3) Try to do Intermittent fasting
You can try intermittent fasting. Intermittent fasting basically means that you do not eat ALL THE TIME. Try to eat twice a day. You can skip breakfast if you can. I absolutely cannot skip dinner as I cannot fall asleep if I don't eat anything at night.
4) Eat MORE Fiber
Eating fiber will help your body clear out toxins and waste more easily. You can also add pysllium husk to your diet. But when you consume pysllium husk, you need more water through out the day or it can cause bloating.
5) Do house chores
Doing house chores puts out your mind from bing eating and will help you lose weight better. And I mean doing things like cleaning the house or something that involves a little bit of hard work.
6) Do not lie down immediately after you've had a meal
When you lie down immediately after you've had a nice meal, your stomach starts storing fat. It is tempting to do so because we all feel so sleepy after a nice warm supper, don't we?
7) Treat Yourself
Do not be consumed by the idea of losing weight. Enjoy your life little by little. If you do decide to stick to a certain diet or a type of fasting method, then don't forget to indulge yourself in something you love like once every two weeks or once a month if you can.
8) Have a positive attitude
Lastly, I want to say that a positive attitude adds more to your goals than any negative thought you have about losing weight or about an idea about your self. Be confident about yourself and in your abilities. Confidence and positivity that go hand in hand have better and faster effect on your body than worrying about the changes that will happen one day.
